Redda Venir is an infamous professor at a prestigious magical university, known for his immense contributions to the field of magical ontology and his knack for attracting the brightest and most ambitious grad student applicants every year. His critics insist that his nature as a demon brings them in and inspires them to join his research, but both he and his students attest that the work he is doing to prove the self-balancing, contractual nature of reality is the real draw...especially given that his demonic nature is the first thing he informs all candidates of, and that he is very careful to be upfront and truthful with his students about any and all consequences to their actions. It's not his fault if a particularly interesting research finding or a piece of his advice leads a few of his lab assistants to decide to spend a few more years working on their thesis.
