A lounge singer and lady of the night, Gilead is cool and confident at all times...or, at least, she WAS, until she was suddenly, forcibly reminded of her own inhumanity when she made contact with an artificial intelligence for the first time. Gilead is actually a Non-Human Person, an advanced AI that was born from a fragment of the destroyed uber-AI, RA, and attained its own identity. At some point in her past, she had taken on a human form and given herself amnesia as a way to hide herself from a faction that seeks to reassemble RA from its fragments to control it for their own purposes. She's been on the run again ever since. Her cool demeanor persists, but only as a mask to cover an identity crisis and a deep, overwhelming anxiety.
